What is corporate entrepreneurship ?

Corporate Entrepreneurship is the pursuit of Entrepreneurship in the context of an existing organization - whether it is a for-profit corporation, a not-for-profit organization, a government agency or other types of organizations.

In a 2015 article featured by BusinessDictionary.com, Ryan May defines the term "Corporate Entrepreneurship" as follows.

"The concept of corporate entrepreneurship is generally believed to refer to the development of new ideas and opportunities within large or established businesses directly leading to the improvement of organizational profitability and an enhancement of competitive position or the strategic renewal of an existing business."
